12th Night Party: Ham, Veggies and Stuffed Mini Peppers
Ham and brussel sprouts. These are the tops of the brussel sprout stalk. My brother grows them in Ohio. They stay in the garden most of the winter. These were some he brought out to us for New Year's Eve. I saved a few to decorate the trays.
A shot from the fruit and salad table. There are some turnip slices and jicama strips on the veggie tray. The dip is a garlic sesame dip mix I buy in a local shop. It is Sonia Lee's and it is available on-line. I used to make complicated dip recipes but this one is so good that it is worth the cost.
In the background you can see the stuffed mini peppers. I think this is about the best picture I have of them. They are stuffed with a mixture of toasted pepitas, sun-dried tomatoes, chevre, garlic, parsley, onion and pepper softened with a bit of creme fraiche. The garnish is fresh parsley and a tiny wedge of cherry tomato.
